TCS Sydney Marathon 2027
A point-to-point marathon from North Sydney across the Harbour Bridge, through Centennial Park and the Royal Botanic Garden to a finish at the Opera House, on Sunday 29 August 2027.
47 weeks to race day: base season
Plenty of runway. This far out, the win is a boring, consistent base rhythm: aerobic volume, strength, technique. The structured block starts closer in; what you do now decides how high it can climb.
Building for this one? Training plans cover the sessions, the weekly shape and how the block is paced. The R.A.C.E. Framework explains why it is built that way.
Build my complete road.
Commit to the date and we will walk you to it: a countdown, honest guidance by email, and the debrief afterwards. Full adaptive training for running races is coming; nothing here pretends otherwise.
One confirmation email, then the road begins. Registering for the race itself stays with the organiser.
“The organiser's figures are 313 m of climbing and an 83 m net drop, so this is not a pancake-flat course: include rolling long runs. The mass start is 6:30 am, so rehearse an early breakfast and warm-up.”
The race
The course
Starts on Miller Street in North Sydney and crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The organiser lists a loop of Centennial Park, Mrs Macquarie's Chair in the Royal Botanic Garden and a finish at the Sydney Opera House. Elevation figures are 313 m gain and an 83 m net drop.
Not yet confirmed for this edition: entry fees, entry dates, start group timings. We publish these only once they are on the official course page, so check there before you pace off anything here.
Course details verified against the official TCS Sydney Marathon course page on 3 October 2026. Courses change; the official page is always the last word.
