Vancouver T100 Triathlon 2027
A T100 weekend at Locarno Beach in Vancouver with a cold ocean swim, a rolling bike and a packed-trail run. The 100 km race is a 2 km swim, 80 km bike and 18 km run.
45 weeks to race day: base season
Plenty of runway. This far out, the win is a boring, consistent base rhythm: aerobic volume, strength, technique. The structured block starts closer in; what you do now decides how high it can climb.
Building for this one? T100 training support cover the sessions, the weekly shape and how the block is paced. The R.A.C.E. Framework explains why it is built that way.

Commit to the date and the work gets a shape: your countdown starts, the emails arrive in step with your build, and the app anchors a recovery-led block so the final week lands exactly on race day.
One confirmation email, then the road begins. Registering for the race itself stays with the organiser.
“Cold water is the main variable: the organiser lists a 14-18°C ocean swim. Practise cold-water entries and open-water sighting, and rehearse the transition from a cold swim to the bike. The run is listed as packed trail, so include some off-road running.”
The race
The course
The 100 km format starts with a 2 km swim on Sunday 15 August. The Olympic race swims 1.5 km and the Sprint 750 m, both on Saturday 14 August. The organiser lists an ocean swim from Locarno Beach with average water temperature of 14-18°C.
80 km for the 100 km format, 40 km for the Olympic and 20 km for the Sprint. The organiser describes the bike course as rolling.
18 km for the 100 km format, 10 km for the Olympic and 5 km for the Sprint. The organiser lists the run surface as packed trail. A draft-legal Junior Super Sprint (350 m / 10 km / 2.5 km) is also held on Saturday.
Not yet confirmed for this edition: lap counts, route map, elevation gain, wetsuit rules, cut-off times, transition locations, entry prices. We publish these only once they are on the official course page, so check there before you pace off anything here.
Course details verified against the official Vancouver T100 Triathlon course page on 3 October 2026. Courses change; the official page is always the last word.
