IRONMAN Tallinn 2027
A full-distance race at Lake Raku near Tallinn: a lake swim, a fast bike through city roads and countryside, and a four-lap run the organiser calls one of the fastest in the world.
44 weeks to race day: base season
Plenty of runway. This far out, the win is a boring, consistent base rhythm: aerobic volume, strength, technique. The structured block starts closer in; what you do now decides how high it can climb.
Building for this one? Ironman training plan covers the sessions, the weekly shape and how the block is paced. The R.A.C.E. Framework explains why it is built that way.

Commit to the date and the work gets a shape: your countdown starts, the emails arrive in step with your build, and the app anchors a recovery-led block so the final week lands exactly on race day.
One confirmation email, then the road begins. Registering for the race itself stays with the organiser.
“The organiser describes a fast bike and run, which usually rewards even pacing and disciplined fuelling. The 70.3 is held the following day, on 8 August 2027.”

The course
Swim in Lake Raku. Wetsuits are legal at 24.5°C (76.1°F) or colder, up to 5 mm thick, and prohibited above that.
Starts from Lake Raku with a fast route that mixes city roads and countryside south of Tallinn, according to the organiser.
Four laps, which the organiser calls one of the fastest run courses in the world, with views of Tallinn Bay.
Not yet confirmed for this edition: bike elevation gain, cut-off times, aid station spacing, water temperature history, course maps (not checked against official GPX), bike lap count. We publish these only once they are on the official course page, so check there before you pace off anything here.
Course details verified against the official IRONMAN Tallinn course page on 4 October 2026. Courses change; the official page is always the last word.
